Itanagar, Sep 23: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), has extended warm greetings to the people of the State, in particular to the Idu Mishmi community, on the festive occasion of Ke-Meh-Ha. He expressed hope that the festivity would usher in prosperity and tranquillity in society.
In his message, the Governor said that agriculture has always been at the heart of Arunachal Pradesh, guiding our way of life and weaving the fabric of our traditions. Naturally, our festivals are deeply connected with the cycles of cultivation and harvest. These celebrations, with their rituals and community spirit, are not just moments of joy but also vital threads that preserve and carry forward our rich cultural heritage, he said.
The Governor further said that as we celebrate Ke Meh Ha, let us take pride in our customs, honour the wisdom of our forefathers, and pass on this legacy to future generations. I especially urge our youth to actively participate in these festivities, for they keep us rooted in our identity while strengthening our bonds as a community, he exhorted.
On this special day, I join my Idu Mishmi brethren in offering prayers to Apeh-Mili and Apeh-Gonlo, seeking their blessings for abundance, good health, and happiness for all, the Governor said in his message.
