Itanagar, Nov 13: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), has extended warm greetings to the people of the State, particularly the children, on the occasion of Children’s Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru.
In his message, the Governor said that Children’s Day reminds all of our collective responsibility to empower every child to progress with knowledge, dignity, confidence, and kindness. Children, with their tenderness, fragility, and innocence, rely entirely on their parents, guardians, and the larger society for care, protection, and guidance. It is the duty of every adult to ensure that every child grows in a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment. When we invest in our children’s well-being, we build a stronger and brighter future for our State. We must therefore give them every opportunity to explore their abilities, develop strong values, and grow into responsible and compassionate citizens, he said.
On this special day, I urge all parents and guardians to renew their commitment to creating a harmonious and caring society that supports the healthy development of every child, the Governor said in his message, while exhorting all to give their best today for their children’s tomorrow.
