Itanagar, Dec 6: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended heartfelt greetings to the valiant members of the Indian Armed Forces on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day. He wished that the day strengthens the nation’s gratitude and respect for our brave soldiers who selflessly serve to protect our freedom and security.
In his message, the Governor said that since its inception in 1949, 7th of December had been observed as Armed Forces Flag Day to honour the men and women in uniform who have courageously defended the Nation and made the ultimate sacrifice. This day serves as a reminder to express our profound gratitude to these gallant heroes who risk their lives in the line of duty. It also provides an opportunity to support the families of martyrs, disabled soldiers, and Veer Naris, acknowledging their immense sacrifices, he said while appealing to the people of Arunachal Pradesh to contribute generously towards the noble cause.
Let us remember and salute the unmatched valour and dedication of the retired and serving personnel of our Army, Navy, and Air Force. May the younger generation draw inspiration from the patriotism and heroism of our martyrs, ensuring that their legacy lives on in our hearts and actions, the Governor said in his message.
