Itanagar, Feb 5: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), conveyed his greetings to the people of the State, especially to the Nyishi community on the auspicious occasion of Boori Boot Yullo. He expressed hope that the festivity would bring hope, plentiful harvests, and renewed prosperity to our farmers and their families.
The Governor said that festivals in our State are more than occasions of celebration. They are a way of life. Rooted in our agrarian ethos, they reflect our deep respect for nature and the agricultural cycle that sustains us. Through Boori Boot Yullo, we reaffirm our gratitude for the earth’s bounty while joyfully preserving the customs and traditions handed down through generations. This close bond between culture, agriculture, and community continues to strengthen social harmony and shared progress. It is our duty to nurture it with care and pass it on, enriched and protected, to those who come after us. I especially encourage our youth to take pride in these traditions and to uphold the values of sustainability and conservation while celebrating our festivals, he said.
May the spirit of Boori Boot bless one and all with happiness, good health, and enduring abundance, the Governor wished in his message.
