ITANAGAR, Jun 15:Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended warm greetings to the people of the State and to all the Muslim brethren in India and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr which marks the culmination of the period of fasting during the holy month of Ramzan.

In his message, the Governor said that Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival which reminds us of our obligations of alms, charity and generosity towards the weak, forlorn, poor and underprivileged. May this holy festival further enhance the bonds and values of our plural society, he wished.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu in his message to the Muslim community said “On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, we are reminded of the importance of mercy, compassion, and goodwill. It is also a time to give thanks for the spiritual growth and the blessings received throughout the holy month."

The CM further added that cultural diversity was one of the greatest strengths and source of pride for India.
