ITANAGAR, Dec 26:  After the All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) resolved to go ahead with its 12-hr bandh on December 27, Home Minister Bamang Felix urged the union to review its decision claiming that the state government has almost fulfilled their charters of demands.
Speaking to the reporters today, Home Minister called the APPSC Job Scam fiasco a crime against humanity, and a blatant attack on the trust of the government and the people  "The government will not tolerate this act of insanity and no individual would be spared based on their status and position,” he said.
Felix further  informed that the state government is working on two fronts on the APPSC;  cleansing the entire system by overhauling the commission so that free and fair examinations be conducted and on the other hand ensuring all individuals be it government officials or public involved in the scam be prosecuted without fear and favour.
In a point-wise clarification on ANSU and Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee APPSC' demands, Felix reiterated that no individual be it chairman or secretary of the commission would be spared based on their position and status. Rather all would be put under the purview of the investigation and if found involved will be prosecuted accordingly, he said. The Minister also informed that a departmental inquiry has already been initiated against the 27 government officials involved in the scam.
The Home Minister also informed that he had a meeting with the ANSU representatives at his official bungalow on Sunday wherein he briefed the status of the government action taken report on the APPSC paper leakage issue.
The cabinet had already taken the decision to write to the high court to nominate a court to fast-track the APPSC paper leakage case.
On  the demand for declaring null and void any examinations which involved malpractices, Felix stated that the government can’t jump to a conclusion since the matter is under investigation. However, he asserted that the decision would be based on the final inquiry report.
Felix further disclosed that the government has furnished a three-member committee report to the ANSU members.  The government also reiterated that APPSC examinations would take place only after securing robust SOP and a full-fledged commission.
He also added that the government is serious and committed to the APPSC paper fiasco and would put all efforts to restore the faith of aspirants on the commission.
Speaking  to the media,  MLA cum Government Spokesperson, Nyato Dukam said that according to Intel, there are 
reports on the involvement of vested elements during the bandh call. Hence, he appealed to the ANSU to not support such groups or individuals as it will defame the integrity of the union as well as the state.  
Meanwhile, ANSU president Nabam Dodum has reiterated that the 12-hour capital bandh would continue and whatever law and order issue occurs during the bandh call, the government would be held responsible.
Dodum also questioned the sincerity of the investigating agencies and asked why couldn’t the investigating agency arrest or trace any question paper seller except Taket Jerang.
