ITANAGAR, May 2: In the wake of the Supreme Court’s directive for a preliminary investigation, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh has convened a crucial coordination meeting of senior nodal officers to discuss matters linked to the case Save Mon Region Federation vs. State of Arunachal Pradesh & Others, currently under scrutiny by the CBI.
According to an official meeting notice issued by the Public Works Department (PWD), the high-level meeting is scheduled to be held on May 5, 2026, at Civil Secretariat, Itanagar.
The meeting will bring together top engineering officials across key departments, including PWD, PHED, Urban Development, Water Resources, Rural Works, Hydropower, and Power (Western Zone), reflecting the seriousness and multi-departmental nature of the issue.
Sources indicate that the meeting has been called to ensure coordinated submission of information sought by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), following its communication to the Chief Secretary dated April 27 last. The probe reportedly involves scrutiny of multiple firms that are allegedly linked to incumbent Chief Minister Pema Khandu, including: M/S Brand Eagles , M/S R D Constructions, M/S Alliances Traders , M/S Frontiers Associates , M/S Goleng Construction, M/S Global Royal Constructions , M/S Khandu Construction .
All concerned officials have been directed to attend the meeting with relevant documents and inputs as per the prescribed proforma enclosed with the CBI communication.
