Sagalee, Dec 4: The General Observer for the Panchayati Raj Elections 2025 for Papum Pare District, Mige Kamki, visited the office of the Returning Officer (RO), Sagalee, today as part of his ongoing review of PR election readiness.
During the visit, Kamki interacted with the RO Sagalee, Yame Higio , along with other officials of the RO office. He discussed various aspects of poll preparedness and took stock of the arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Panchayati Raj Elections in the Sagalee Panchayat Constituency.
Kamki advised all officials and officers engaged in the Panchayati Raj Elections to diligently perform their assigned duties, maintain strict adherence to election guidelines, and ensure the conduct of free, fair, and successful elections.
As part of his field inspection, the Observer visited several polling stations, including Town Club Multipurpose Hall, Sagalee,Government Middle School Yalang, Government Middle School Sagalee Town, Government Middle School Humd, Government Middle School Khimli, Government Secondary School Nimta, Government Secondary School Toru,Kheel PWD-IV and Government Primary School prepared.
Hostalam is the highest polling station under the ICR region. Though located in a very interior area, it remains accessible and is one of the most remotely situated polling stations under Papum Pare District. The Observer assessed the facilities, accessibility, and preparedness of each location.
Later in the day, the Observer also inspected the Strong Room to review security arrangements and readiness.
