NAHARLAGUN, Aug 28:  In a shocking act of violence, a 14-year-old Adivasi boy identified as Adrias Induwar, who worked as a mechanic helper at a garage in A-Sector, near Vishal Megamart, was shot at by an elderly man on Wednesday.
The minor, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, where doctors say he is now safe and recovering steadily.
According to SP Naharlagun Nyelam Nega, the accused belongs to Siyum in Upper Subansiri District and is believed to be mentally unstable. Police have taken him into custody, and further investigation is underway.
