TEZU, Jul 8: The first quarter District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for the year 2023-2024 was held today under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Tapir Gao at the District Secretariat, Tezu in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein,  Health & Family welfare Minister  Alo Libang, RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam, Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte, MLAs of Eastern Parliamentary Constituency, Deputy Commissioners, DRDA Project Directors and DPOs of 11 districts.
During the meeting, implementation and progress of over 40 Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes within Eastern Parliament were reviewed including deliberations over existing problems and the possible solutions for due implementations of the schemes were also discussed.
The Deputy Commissioner Lohit-cum-Member Secretary, Shashvat Saurabh, in his presentation covered physical and financial reports on the various schemes implemented under Eastern Parliament Constituency, Arunachal Pradesh on behalf of all the 11 Districts.
All the concerned MLAs, DCs participated actively in the review and discussed the strategies for effective implementation of all the centrally sponsored schemes. The meeting also discussed few success stories and challenges faced in districts on which the Chairperson directed them to convey the issues discussed to their parent departments for addressing the same in time.
The DeputyChief Minister advised all the members to engage themselves on the field to implement the Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the larger benefit of the general public and directed to monitor the performance of the schemes regularly.
The Chairperson, DISHA-cum- MP  stressed on the effective monitoring of all the schemes and directed all the DCs to ensure proper implementation of the schemes in coordination with all the elected representatives for efficient and time-bound delivery of public service through these schemes.
