Itanagar, Apr 30: The Government Assurance Committee (GAC) of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh convened its third sitting today, under the leadership of Chairman Laisam Simai. The meeting focused on reviewing government assurances and action taken reports from various departments, with a special emphasis on the state’s critical hydro power projects.
The committee examined the progress of completed and ongoing hydro power projects, calling upon the Commissioner of the Hydro Power Department for a detailed verbal explanation. The Commissioner’s inputs were thoroughly discussed, highlighting the sector’s importance to Arunachal Pradesh’s development.
Chairman Simai reiterated the GAC’s commitment to ensuring timely fulfillment of government assurances, urging cooperation from all departments for seamless execution.
The meeting saw active participation from GAC members Er. Rotom Tebin (MLA) and Tsering Lhamu (MLA), alongside officials Tadar Meena, Secretary APLA, and Agaab Mossang, Additional Secretary APLA.
