ITANAGAR, May 18: The Election Commission of India has announced that fresh polling will be held for both PC as well as AC in 28-Nampe polling station of 21-Koloriang (ST) Assembly Constituency and 6-Gimba polling station of 20-Tali (ST) Assembly Constituency.
According to a press release issued by the office of the state CEO, the ECI has given the order vide its letter. No .495/ARUN-HP/2019 dated 17/05/2019 and the date of re-poll has been fixed on May 21 from 6 am to 2 pm.
The polling parties have been instructed to move from AC headquarters or district headquarters depending upon the availability of EVMs and other poll materials out of these two places for conducting the re-polls. Each polling party shall be headed by at least an ARO who shall also function as the Presiding Officer of the polling station and other members of the polling parties shall be procured locally as far as possible and as required with the aim of avoiding delays in organizing  these  re-polls.
Due publicity campaign of the fresh polls shall also be made on behalf of  EC in the polling areas of these polling stations and written information of the same shall also be disseminated to the contesting candidate/their election agents and political parties accordingly.
EC has informed that adequate security arrangement shall be made for the polling teams and the entire polling process of these fresh polls. CEO Press Release
