Roing, Jul 10: A day-long free vaccination drive against rabies in canines was organised here at Jia village by AL vets & Agro Solutions. Kotbor Lego, an entrepreneur and owner of the pet & agro clinic, on the occasion, said that rabies is a preventable zoonotic disease that causes tens of thousands of deaths every year around the world. He further said that this drive was a small effort to sensitize the villagers about the dreaded disease and look forward to organising the drive in other villages too. The program witnessed the vaccination of 197 dogs.
