PASIGHAT, May 7: Free health consultation camp was organised by Siang Trust at remote Mer village in East Siang yesterday on 5th May. Mer is one of the interior villages not connected by road due to the Taro Tamak river. 
Specialist Doctors including Senior Surgeon Dr Bomni Tayeng, Dr Saibal Bhattacharjee, Dr Runi Tasung, Dr Lung Perme Panging, medical staff and Vice President of Siang Trust Group Captain Mohonto Panging Pao VM (Rtd) attended the health camp. This is the second such camp in Mer village carried out by Siang Trust. Pressure tests, Sugar tests were carried out in the camp along with provision of free medicines. Over 70 needy patients from Mer, Gadum, Tinali including centenarians benefited from the health camp. Siang Trust has been regularly conducting free health consultation camps in remote villages of the area and more camps are planned.
