ITANAGAR, Aug 12: The Arunachal Hope Foundation (AHF) has unveiled introducing the 'Employment Partner (EP)' scheme as a flagship component of the 'Guarantee for Local Employee (GFLE)' program. With a focus on promoting employment opportunities, particularly among women and differently abled individuals, AHF aims to revolutionize the employment landscape in Arunachal Pradesh.
AHF Chairman Rigam Singhi highlighted the scheme's potential to drive women's empowerment and foster inclusive growth by providing training in various professions. The core goal of the EP under GFLE is to create meaningful employment prospects, especially for the unemployed, women, and the handicapped. The scheme offers a reliable pathway to consistent annual income, contributing significantly to the overall employment scenario in the state.
Singhi expressed confidence in the scheme's transformative impact, citing the organization's track record of nurturing 20 successful entrepreneurs and providing training and employment opportunities for over 200 individuals in diverse vocational fields since 2019.Singhi underscored the imperative for government attention to address the unemployment challenge. He highlighted the misdirection of central government initiatives meant for the unemployed towards affluent beneficiaries, along with the misappropriation of critical central government subsidies intended for unemployed youth.
The Chairman called for a mandatory 25% reservation policy for local individuals in government infrastructure and developmental projects, asserting that such a policy shift could propel a surge in employment opportunities, fostering inclusive progress.
