Governor, Arunachal Publishers and Broadcasters Guild pays tribute  

Itanagar, Dec 26: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), has condoled the demise of Yadap Apang, former Member of the State Legislative Assembly. He said that in her passing away, the State has lost an eminent social worker and a devoted public representative.
In a condolence message to Gegong Apang, former Chief Minister, the Governor said that Late Yadap Apang was a remarkable woman, widely respected, deeply compassionate, and known for her gracious personality. She served the people of Arunachal Pradesh with sincerity, dedication, and dignity, leaving behind a lasting impression through her commitment to public service and social welfare. 
I join the people of Arunachal Pradesh in praying to Donyi Polo to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and to bestow strength and courage upon you and the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss, the Governor said in his message.
The Arunachal Publishers and Broadcasters Guild (APBG) has expressed deep sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences at the demise of Yadap Apang, publisher of The Arunachal Times, who passed away on Thursday.
Born in 1954, Yadap Apang was a towering figure in Arunachal Pradesh’s media, and entrepreneurship. Also trailblazer in politics, she was among the few women leaders elected to the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing Pasighat West from 1995 to 1999.
As publisher of The Arunachal Times, she played a pioneering role in shaping the state’s media landscape by establishing the daily in 1989.
Condoling the demise, APBG president Chopa Cheda said, “Late Yadap Apang was a visionary and a first-generation pioneer whose contribution to media in Arunachal Pradesh will be remembered forever. Her passing has created an irreplaceable void.”
The Guild prayed for strength to the bereaved family and eternal peace for the departed soul.
