CHANGLANG,Aug 29: Arunachal Pradesh today mourned the demise of one of its veteran leaders, Thinghap Taiju, who passed away at his residence after prolonged illness. He was 68.
A three-time MLA from 53-Changlang North constituency and former minister in the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Taiju had served the state in various capacities, including as Cabinet Minister, Deputy Minister, Minister of State, and Parliamentary Secretary.
Widely respected for his humility and dedication, Taiju was also the pioneer in establishing Rang Frah Vidya Niketan School and Rang Frah Government College in Changlang, besides being a guiding force in the Rang Frah Faith Promotion Society.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, and eight grandchildren. His death is being seen as a major loss to Arunachal Pradesh’s political and social landscape, particularly for the people of Changlang, whom he served for decades with distinction.
