ITANAGAR, Aug 18: Following the expiry of its 7 days ultimatum served to the capital police to prove the involvement of hotels in flesh trade racket, the All Arunachal Hotel, Resort, Restaurant and Bar Association on Friday served another ultimatum of 14 days to justify the allegation leveled against them or tender an apology for the same in local newspapers.
Terming the disclosure made in local dailies has severely tarnished the hard-earned reputation of hotels, the association also strongly condemned the police for arresting hotel managers without any valid proof and illegally siphoning rupees10000 from each as bail amount.
Furthermore, the association has threatened to resort to democratic means of protest against the police, if they fail to prove the authenticity of involvement of hotel owners in running flesh trade.
