TEZU, Dec 24: The 1st under 17 Boys & Girls State Level School Games Kho-Kho Tournament 2022-23 being organized by the Lohit District Administration under the aegis of Department of Education from December 24-29 next began today at Jubilee Ground, Tezu.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by MP Tapir Gao, Marken Kadu, Director of Secondary Education, and Gobinda Kalita, Secretary, All Assam Kho-Kho Association grace the occasion as Special Guest. Also present was MLA Dasanglu Pul, among others.
Total 16 districts are participating in the tournament comprising of 400 players, 60 Team officials and 30 Technical officials from Assam, West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh.
Deputy commissioner Lohit, Shashvat Saurabh, speaking on the occasion wished the best to all the participating teams and said that sports helps in inculcating discipline in life.
