ITANAGAR, Oct 7: The 1st State Futsal Club Championship got underway  at Mes Que Champions Arena, Naharlagun today.
A total of eight teams are taking part in the first edition of Futsal Championship being organised by the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association with the support of Mes Que Champions Arena as venue partner.
Winner of the Championship will qualify for the National Futsal Club Championship to be organised by All India Football Federation later this year.
Results of matches played on inaugural day of the championship: Panthers SC defeated  Banderdewa FC  (11-1), Bamang Taji FC won against  Polo City FC (12-4), Bichom FC vs Keyi Panyor FC match ended in a draw (6-6), and Capital Complex FC defeated Arunachal SC (10-5) in the inaugural matches played today.
