TEZU, Jan 20: In a fire incident which occurred on the intervening morning today at around 2:30 am, a government quarter here in the township was completely gutted.
The occupants, however, escaped unharmed except for a minor who sustained negligible burn injuries. Station Officer Deepak Roy informed that the house belonging to one Midi Ete caught fire from the attached kitchen leading to the burst of three LPG cylinders and preliminary findings suggest that loose electrical circuits may be the cause. This is the seventh fire incident including two forest fires, he informed.
Local MLA Karikho Kri called on the affected family and assured all help necessary for rehabilitation. Essentials were given to the family as urgent relief.
