Yazali, Aug 8: A Financial Inclusion Camp was conducted at Chulyu Gram Panchayat, Keyi Panyor District today with the aim of promoting financial inclusion and empowerment among the local community. The camp was organized in alignment with the ongoing three-month nation-wide saturation campaign for Financial Inclusion.
The dignitaries present at the event included General Manager, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Itanagar; Lead District Manager, State Bank of India (SBI), District Development Manager, NABARD, Lower Subansiri district; Branch Managers of SBI, Yazali branch, Central Bank of India (CBI); Punjab National Bank, Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank and Axis Bank, Ziro branch. The office bearers of Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission and Moneywise CRISIL Foundation of Lower Subansiri districts, were also present.
The camp saw active participation from the residents of Chulyu village and surrounding areas, who benefitted from various financial inclusion and social; security schemes. A total of 15 beneficiaries enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and 9 beneficiaries enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY). Additionally, 23 Know Your Customer (KYC) updates were completed.
This campaign was a part of the Nationwide Financial Awareness Saturation Campaign, initiated by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and running from July 1 to September 30. The campaign seeks to achieve comprehensive coverage across all Gram Panchayats (GPs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), ensuring that every eligible citizen can benefit from the government's transformative schemes. The Camp was a collaborative effort between banking institutions, government agencies, and the local community of the district, promoting financial literacy, inclusion, and empowerment among the rural population.
