ITANAGAR, Aug 7: Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Bamang Felix today reviewed all centrally sponsored schemes under the RD and PR departments, at the RD Directorate, here in the state capital.
The meeting was attended by Project Directors-cum-DPDOs from across the state in presence of Secretary RD&PR Amarnath Talwade, PR Director Tamune Miso, RD Director Kego Jilen and others wherein status reports of CSS such as PMAY-G, WDC-PMKSY 2.0, Amrit Sarovar, MGNREGA, Mission Antyodaya were reviewed.
Commenting on the status of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Grameen (PMAY-G), the Minister directed the officers concerned to ensure that funds are released to the beneficiaries and that PMAY-G should reach saturation status by November 31 next.
He further directed the officers to ensure timely payment to MNREGA beneficiaries and that 100 percent Aadhaar seeding and mapping of MGREGA be completed by August 31.
Expressing confidence in the PD-DPDOs to execute their duties and responsibilities in a time-bound and effective manner, Felix hoped that there will be a drastic improvement during the next review meeting. He also assured all possible assistance to them wherever required.
Also emphasizing on the importance of having Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), Felix said that Panchayati Raj Department must take it as their responsibility to ensure that meetings are held for finalizing GPDP.
