BALIJAN, Aug 29: Home Minister Bamang Felix today inaugurated the SDPO Officer-cum-Police Station at Balijan in presence of Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara, DGP Anand Mohan, Papum Pare DC Cheechung Chukhu, SP Taru Gusar and others.
Dedicating the new establishment to the people of Balijan ADC Headquarters, Felix urged all to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and order in the area. “Maintaining law and order, peace and tranquility is a responsibility of every citizen," he said.
Extending his gratitude to the people of Balijan for their cooperation in establishment of the station, the Minister also lauded the Arunachal Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Ltd for executing the task successfully.
He further stated that the state government under Chief Minister Pema Khandu is also actively working on strengthening the police force in the state while giving due acknowledgement to the contributions of police personnel. More than 700 police personnel in different ranks have been promoted so far, informed the Minister.
Felix in his speech also urged the people of the area to promote bonhomie along the interstate border and stated that both Arunachal and Assam government under close guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are trying to resolve long pending border dispute.
Urging all for cooperation, he said that people of both the states should accept to find a middle path while being open to give and take attitude to resolve the border dispute.
MLA Tana Hali Tara in his speech expressed his gratitude to CM Khandu and Home Minister for establishing the police station in Balijan while informing that it has been a long-cherished demand of the people. He also called on all to contribute their bit in maintaining peace and unity and towards making India a progressive nation.
