SANGRAM, Jun 16: Home Minister Bamang Felix on Wednesday called on all PRI members and BJP booth level committees of 19-Nyapin Assembly Constituency, Kurung Kumey district to work towards bridging the gap between beneficiaries and benefits under various PM and CM flagship programmes.
Informing that there are 340 PM flagship programmes and 82 CM flagship programmes which have the potential of bringing development in every sphere, Felix further called on all PRIs and BJP functionaries to work in the spirit of BJP’s guiding principle of ‘Antyodaya’, and ensure that every single beneficiary gets benefitted.
The Home Minister, who is also the local MLA of 19-Nyapin Assembly Constituency, was addressing the gathering of PRIs and BJP booth level committee members for the Seva, Sushasan aur Gareeb Kalyan Parv at Layang here which marks eight years of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Empowering masses is not about benefiting them financially, it is to make them capable enough to identify and draw benefits from various flagship programmes of the government,” he said while emphasizing on the responsibility and duty of PRIs to inform the masses about government’s welfare initiatives.
Setting a deadline of one month, the Minister directed all PRIs and party workers concerned to draw out modalities to identify and facilitate enrollment of eligible beneficiaries. In this regard, the Minister assured that required training and capacity building of PRIs will also be undertaken in coordination with the district administration.
Listing out few of the flagship programmes such as Arunachal Pradesh Dulari Kanya Yojana, Deen Dayal Upadhaya Swavalamban Yojana, CMAAY, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Har Ghar Jal under Jal Jeevan Mission, etc., the Minister also advised that every PRI member and party workers should be well versed in all of the schemes.
Meanwhile, at the sidelines of the event, ‘Vikas Teerth Bike Rally’ was also undertaken by the members of the 19-Nyapin Mandal unit from Nyapin to Sangram covering a distance of about 40 km.
