NAMSAI, May 5: Food Corporation of India in a significant order cleared hurdles of lifting of PDS commodities by inception of online release order process for Namsai district which is the first ever in the frontier state. The new system has been started from this month. Earlier the wholesale PDS nominee had to submit the cost price by draft at FCI at Banderdewa to obtain RO which was a time consuming process resulting in delay in delivery of PDS items to the beneficiaries of the district. The present system will facilitate the whole sale nominee to obtain release order of food grains from FCI without any delay. Recently Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, RK Sharma had requested   the  CMD , FCI during his visit to Namsai to introduce online RO system in the greater interest of public service. Expressing his satisfaction over the positive perspective of the FCI authority, Sharma said henceforth both wholesale nominee and consumers will be benefited with food grains in right time.
