DAPORIJO, Aug 19: 

 

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Upper Subansiri organised New India Manthan- Sankalp Se Siddhi at Rijo conference hall.

 

Local MLA Dikto Yekar in his address congratulated the KVK for organising the function and appealed the farmers to take up technological farming practices with great interest.

 

DC, Upper Subansiri, AK Singh on the other hand stressed on New India Manthan and the importance of farmers towards it. He advised for better cooperation of farmers and officials to work together hand-in-hand and assured to make sure that schemes released under New India Manthan to be implemented properly.  

 

Further SMS Agri Extension, Topi Riba gave a presentation on the topic “Doubling Farmers income”. In her presentation she critically examined and explained the possibilities of doubling farmers’ income through various possible scientific interventions, knowledge and farming practices.

The programme was attended by senior scientist and head in-charge of KVK, Nyape Bam, Agriculture and allied HoDs, PRI members and a total of 74 farmers from various villages of the district.
