RAGA, Aug 17: A one day and first of its kind awareness training was imparted to farmers at Puchigeko by the District Agriculture Department under Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Kamle here on Friday on Integrated Pest Management and Compost Making.
Around 93 farmers and Gaon Burahs and Goan buris attended the training.
Deputy Director of Agriculture cum ATMA Project Director, Dani Yubbe briefed on the importance of IPM and organic farming,  its pros and cons to farmers. 
Agricultural Development Officer (ADO), Raga, Koj Hormin suggested ways to control pests and rodents in paddy cultivated areas on the hilly terrain. Several related topics were also addressed.
The training programme concluded with interaction session  between the farmers and technical experts.
