DOIMUKH, May 26:
In collaboration with the Department of Disaster Management , Anjaw District a team of 12th Bn NDRF, Doimukh is conducting two weeks familiarization exercise namely community awareness programmes and mock drills from May 25 to June 7 next in all circles of Anjaw District.
During the inaugural programme at Hawai, Deputy Commissioner in -charge B Tawsik, EAC Hawai, directed the NDRF team to provide training and drills on disasters specific to the district and informed all the participants to take full advantage of the same. The DDMO presented a brief profile and history of disasters in the district through a Powerpoint presentation.
While continuing the community awareness programme team commander Inspector Manish Kumar Choudhary, informed that the main purpose of the programme is to prepare first responders in case of disaster. Search and Rescue (SAR) teams of the NDRF imparted trainings on various rescue techniques etc.
