Itanagar, Mar 22: Praveen Kataraki, the Expenditure Observer for 13- Itanagar, 14- Doimukh and 15- Sagalee convened a meeting today with the ROs and SPs at the conference hall of the DC Office today.
As the observer for three constituencies—Itanagar, Doimukh, and Sagalee—the expenditure officer stressed on the significance of the government and its various departments in upholding transparency  in order to conduct a free and fair election and to provide the candidates from different political parties, an even playing field. 
He informed about  the sealing limit of expenditure of a candidate  for Parliamentary constituency which is 75 lakhs and for Assembly Constituency which is 28 lakhs. While stressing upon the importance of the accounting team and MCMC team, he also emphasised on the need for rigorous documentation of the amount of money seized during the entire period of election.
He discussed on the critical role that the police, excise, mining and forest departments play. He stressed the importance of the presence of all these departments at the integrated checkpost for thorough verifications. He also directed the Railway Protection Force to ensure adequate route monitoring and implementation of MCC at the Railway station.
The Expenditure Observer also reviewed the role of AEO, SST, FST, VST, VVT etc.
DEO Papumpare cum RO 14- Doimukh, Jiken Bomjen informed that Magistrate has already been deployed at Naharlagun Railway station for carrying out the checking drive along with the team of RPF. He also sought cooperation of all the departments in successfully carrying out the election.  
The SP Capital Itanagar, Rohit Rajbir Singh  briefed on the security aspect and security arrangement. He stressed on the role of Liquor Monitoring Team being one of the most important entity and further stressed on checking of bonded warehouses to address the issue of illegal selling and transportation of liquor while emphasising that addressing the issues at their root is crucial.
Later, Shweta Nagarkoti, RO 13- Itanagar urged all the officers to take their role seriously and sensibly. She also stressed that checking at Integrated Check Post(ICP) along with the officers of Forest, Tax and Excise and Mining to be intensified.
Among others, ASP Capital Itanagar, Angad Mehta, DFO Banderdewa and officers from Tax and Excise attended the meeting.
