ITANAGAR, Jun 23: East Kameng Social Welfare and Cultural Organisation(EKSCWO), former Chairman and Deputy Director of School Education(DDSE) Kata Rangmo passed away this morning at his residence here at Jollang after prolonged illness.  He was 47. Rangmo was one of the pioneer education reformists of the East Kameng district and Nyishi community. His contributions as DDSE, Seppa was greatly hailed across society.  
Born in 1976 at Watte village under Bana circle of East Kameng district, Rangmo did his schooling from Watte ME school and Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidalaya Seppa. He did Bachelor of Arts from Government Degree College Bomdila and MA and Mphil from then Arunachal University (RGU) in the year 1999.  While pursuing his higher education, Rangmo was appointed as Assistant Teacher in 1996. Later he became District Adult Education Officer, Principal DIET Seppa and the DDSE Seppa.
Under his chairmanship, EKSWCO had initiated numerous educational, cultural  and social reformative steps. Rangmo was also Chairman of Nyishi Elite Society East Kameng Unit.
