Banderdewa, May 24: The Chief Conservator of Forests, Western Arunachal Circle (CCF WAC) office organised several events under Arunachal Mission LiFE Campaign at Banderdewa. The events were held in conjunction with the rest of the world in Global LiFE Campaign (Lifestyle for Environment) declared by India in UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) at Glasglow, UK.
Badal Kamsi, Std IX and Sagar Basumatary Std X of Brahmaputra Academy English School, Banderdewa won the School Quiz Competition including cash award, while joint runner up teams were VKV School PTC and Govt Sec School Forest Colony Banderdewa. 
Participants comprising school students, teachers, forest officials also took part in Demo Group Activity of avoiding single use plastic bags in shops and daily usage. Another activity showing menace of chips wrappers, plastic bottles, tobacco sachets littered by passengers of vehicles on roads was also showcased. Substitution of hundreds of mineral water bottles with mineral water cans was also implemented by the audience during the program. 
The CCF WAC, Tapek Riba, IFS addressed the gathering and interacted with the school students explaining the objective and mission of LiFE Campaign. Later in the day, local residents and forest officials of Circle Office, Mobile Squad, Banderdewa Division Office and Banderdewa Range Office cleared plastic wastes in CCF Colony premises and adjoining public places. Similar events carried out across the state are being recorded at PCCF office headquarters as mandated for entry into the national database.
