PISTANA, Mar 24: In an effort to ensure quality work carried out by the contractors in the schools, Lower Subansiri DDSE Tabia Chobin on Friday inspected to gather a first-hand information of civil work both at Pistana and Deed Circles of Lower Subansiri district.
Chobin was accompanied by District Project Coordinator(DPC-ISSE) Nangram Kayum and Civil Work Coordinator Er.Taba Yamu.
The DDSE inquired about quality of new infrastructure which is coming up in both the Circles and also sought public opinion on the quality work carried out by the contractors. He suggested the school management committees(SMCs) to place their problems before new academic session.
He also made aware to everyone present there about fund allocation received once for the estimated work and informed that the same wouldn't be made available again.
He stressed that it should be properly utilised.
The visiting team also advised the teachers & public to keep a vigil on the new infrastructure building quality construction works.
The GSS, Pistana Headmaster NT Anand and Senior Citizen Nich Taro apprised the inspection team about the shortage of school infrastructure and need for construction of boundary wall at GSS,Pistana in order to stop encroachment in the school.
Dharam Kalita, Pill Tayam, education department,Ziro and a host of senior Citizens from respective schools accompanied the team during the visit.
