Aalo, Jan 13: Minister of Education, RWD etc., PD Sona attended the valedictory function of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Galo Welfare Society (GWS) at Paya near Aalo in West Siang District on Monday.
Sona in his address appealed to the Galo community to work for the upliftment of society as well as for the state. He appreciated the GWS for conducting mega health camp at Paya where thousand of patients benefitted. The Minister also urged the Galo people to harness the potential in Tourism Industry.
The four-day programme saw a galaxy of dignitaries and various activities such as rafting competition, cultural show, food festival etc., were conducted.
Marnya Ete President GWS and Nyadar Loya General Secretary GWS thanked all the invitees from different CBOs from North East for attending the programme.
