ITANAGAR, Jan 24: Days after the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union’s (AAPSU) ultimatum to re-suspend officers involved in APPSC Job Scam, the Department of Education today re-suspended  Opet Mibang, Upper Division Clerk (UDC) of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Nari in Lower Siang District.
She has been re-suspended in connection with the APPSC Paper Leak case. The suspension order was issued under Rule 10 Sub-Rule (1) Clause (a) & (b) of the Central Civil Service (Classification, Central, and Appeal) Rules, 1965, to ensure a fair and impartial inquiry into the matter.
Mibang was originally suspended on November 4, 2022, subsequently, she was reinstated on October 15, 2024, as per Order No. DSE-13-13025/1/2022, following the directive of the Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench, in Case No. WP(C) 510/2023 dated March 18, 2024.
The latest suspension order stated, to prevent any potential interference with the ongoing disciplinary proceedings. As per the directive, Opet Mibang will remain stationed at GHSS, Nari, in Lower Siang District, and will not leave the headquarters without prior approval from the competent authority.
Confirming the re-suspension, AAPSU stated the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) took a decisive step by submitting a memorandum to the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh on January 20, 2025, demanding the immediate suspension of Opet Mibang, UDC, for her alleged involvement in the APPSC Paper Leak Scandal. We are pleased to receive information that the government has acted on our memorandum and accepted the demand.
Earlier, the department has already re-suspended two other officers whose names are involved in the APPSC job scam.
