AALO, Mar 2: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Penga Tato flagged off and inaugurated the
three day Eco-tourism training camp at the bank of river Siyom near Bene
Village, Aalo in West Siang District. The tourism training camp is being conducted by the West Siang Tourism Department.
District Tourism Officer T.K Kopak briefed about the 3-day training camp which will continue till March 4 next.
The DC in his speech advised the students to take advantage of the training adding that tourism is the biggest industry in the world and many countries are depended on tourism. He appealed to all the students and public to welcome and have a good sense of hospitality towards visiting tourists.
He advised the youths to take up the Home Stay, Eco Tourism resort and many more tourism
related activities for sustainable development.
During the training camp rope knotting, river crossing, rock climbing etc will be imparted.
On the first day, rock climbing theory & practical and angling training was imparted to the trainees.
