Roing, Apr 7: An Early Child Care and Education (ECCE) Centre was inaugurated today at Jia by MLA Gum Tayeng in the premises of Govt. Sec. School, Jia. The centre was inaugurated in the presence of ADC Mamta Yadav, DDSE Deepak Tayeng, CDPO (Roing), DPC(ISSE)Minli Tasar, GBs, PRI members, parents, Anganwadi workers, teachers and ECCE children.
MLA Tayeng urged all the parents to send their children to the centre regularly to build a strong foundation at the pre primary level. The children will be taught jointly by the Anganwadi workers and  regular teachers of the school by way of devising and developing child centric playway and activity based methods and techniques.
She handed over the keys of the ECCE room along with the materials to the Anganwadi workers of the 3 feeder Anganwadi Centres- Jia , Bolik and Parbuk and wished for its proper functioning with visible outcomes in the near future.
