PASIGHAT, Aug 1: Mentor Secretary of East Siang district and Commissioner Personnel, Training & Law, Yashpal Garg, on his maiden visit to East Siang district today took an overview of the progress and developmental scenario of the district in all major developmental indicators and key sectors of health, education, power, farm sector, key infrastructure projects, beneficiary oriented schemes including PMC and Smart City projects which was held here at DC’s Conference Hall.
Garg said that as mentor Secretary, the maiden meeting with officials of the District Administration and HoDS has allowed him to get a good grasp on the issues and challenges in the implementation process and the requirements of departments like health, education, power etc., and issues specific to the district. He assured to take up with concerned authorities on the matters, so that all envisaged developmental goals and any gaps for fast tracking the socio-economic growth of the district is achieved in a time-bound manner.
He hoped that the new age infrastructure taken up in the district will transform the district. Speaking on his role, he said “As mentor Secretary, my role is to highlight and help resolve the challenges faced by the concerned departments and the interactive session and inputs will help in addressing the issues with clarity.”
East Siang Deputy Commissioner, Sonalika Jiwani expressed gratitude to the Mentor Secretary for the guidance and suggestions to the HoDs and officials of the district administration, infusing a spirit of enthusiasm and renewed zeal and team spirit in Team East Siang.
The meeting was attended by SP Pankaj Lamba, Joint Director BPGH Dr. T.Tali, ADC (Hq) Tatling Pertin, ADC Mebo,Nancy Yirang, ADC Ruksin, Kiron Ningo, DPO Tatak Mibang, CEO, Smart City, Dr. Manjuli Komut, MEO PMC Jayanti Pertin, Lead Bank Manager and HoDs of twenty three government departments attended the meeting.
