PASIGHAT, Jul 12: As heavy monsoon rain  continues in East Siang and in view of the IMD forecast, the East Siang District Administration has issued safety & travel advisory and cautioned  the general public to avoid venturing into rivers, streams, etc., for fishing, swimming or any other activities for their safety. People living in low-lying areas of the right and left banks of River Siang viz. Jarku, Paglek,, SS Mission,  Jarkong, Bnaskota, Berung, Sigar, Borguli, Seram, Kongkul, Nmasing and Mer areas nearby were also urged to remain alert and avoid venturing into the  Siang.`
The DA advised people to avoid travelling particularly at night time through the Pasighat-Pangin Road of NH-13 (near Sirki area) due to incessant rainfall for the last few days and as the said stretch is still under process of restoration. The Deputy Commissioner has directed EE Highway PWD Pasighat and GM, NHIDCL to keep men and machineries ready to clear any blockage due to incessant rainfall. 
After getting information on road block at Sirki  on the Pasighat-Pangin  road on the night of July 11, Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong voluntarily sent an earthmover  immediately and helped to clear the blockage around 9 am Wednesday morning. The state disaster rescue force (SDRF) team also helped in the timely safe passage of a patient through the Sirki Block point in the wee hours of the morning. The Police and SDRF team also provided refreshments and support to   stranded passengers.
The DA under the supervision of DC East Siang Tayi Taggu, is closely monitoring the situation and DDMO Tsangpa Tashi with team is visiting all vulnerable locations and making announcement of the advisory through PA system. DIPRO, Pasighat
