PASIGHAT, Mar 3: The District Task Force meeting cum orientation on COVID -19 vaccination roll out under CoWIN 2.0 for all stakeholders of East Siang District was held here today at DC’s Conference Hall under the aegis of District Health Society.
The day-long session also included District level Planning & orientation on SAANS Campaign (Social Awareness& Action to Neutralise Pneumonia) to create community awareness & underline role of health providers on protection,prevention and treatment on Childhood Pneumonia.
The roles, responsibilities and various protocols were briefed during the day-long session. Review meeting on Pulse Polio coverage & achievement was also taken.The participants also provided feedback.
DMO, Dr. Kaling Dai, in his address called upon the stakeholders to raise awareness and mobilise beneficiaries and general public for availing COVID-19 vaccination in the second phase.The DMO also called for creating community awareness on combating life threatening disease of childhood pneumonia, being one of the major causes of childhood infant mortality.
DRCHO, Dr.T.Gao during his PPT presentation highlighted that second phase of Covid-19 vaccination under CoWin 2.0 will focus on target beneficiaries of citizens above 60 yrs and above and citizens 45 yrs to 59 yrs with co-morbodities adding that vaccination facilities are also made available in CHCs, PHCs & sub-Centres , other than BPGH . The vaccination of Health Care Workers (HCWs) & Frontline Workers (FLWs) will also continue under the Cowin 2.0. He said that registration process has been simplified with walk in provision, where in beneficiaries can register in the Covid Vaccination Centres(CVCs) itself with required documents of EPIC or Aadhar Cards &co-morbidity certificate . He said that provision of self-registration for Covid vaccination is also available through cowin portal http:selfregistration.cowin.gov.in and arogyasetu app.
