Pasighat, May 11: The District Olympic Association of East Siang organized a Felicitation-cum-Lunch Programme for the medal winners and official team members who brought pride to the district during the 4th Arunachal State Games 2025.
The programme was graced by MLA of 38th Pasighat East, Tapi Darang, along with District Taekwondo General Secretary Kayang Darang, and Ajay Chetri, Treasurer of the District Olympic Association of East Siang.
During the ceremony, MLA Tapi Darang personally felicitated the athletes, recognizing their hard work and achievements. The General Secretary of the District Olympic Association, Vijay Mize, proudly reported that 142 players represented East Siang at the State Games, securing an impressive 10th position overall with a total haul of 44 medals.
Mize also highlighted the urgent need for adequate indoor sports facilities in the district, appealing to both the MLA and district administration for support. In response, MLA Darang assured the gathering that the concerns of local sportspersons would be addressed and pledged his commitment to fostering sports development in the region. He also commended the athletes for their outstanding performances.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all contributors and a special acknowledgment to Toi Modi for his generous sponsorship and unwavering support towards the success of the programme.
