PASIGHAT, Aug 19: Deputy Commissioner East Siang, Sonalika Jiwani reviewed the progress of major ongoing schemes and status  of infrastructure projects and State and Central flagship schemes being implemented by various departments while chairing the DLMC meeting.
Jiwani also reviewed the monthly District Development Report submitted by the departments highlighting the progress in all development indicators including Law and Order.  Stressing on inter departmental coordination in project implementation, the DC asked all the executing agencies to  keep the user departments  updated with the progress  of the projects.  The DC also asked for proper upkeep and optimum utilization of government assets created by various departments so that they serve its intended purpose and  benefit the people in the true sense,  and vision of the Central and State Government  is achieved. She asked the HoDs to take up innovative initiatives and ideas and implement in their respective departments . The DC asked the Nodal Agencies to take initiative for revenue generation from the government and public assets, so that projects are sustainable in the long run and benefit the citizens and can be run from the revenue generated . “Every asset created by the government from public infrastructure to public libraries  must have optimum utilisation and benefit the target beneficiaries and for this we need to reorient our approach and take innovative and proactive initiatives to meet up the expectations of the citizens,” she said.
The DC also asked the concerned departments to take proactive  redressal and initiative on the issues flagged in the meeting. She also stressed on the role of each department in the district in the holistic  progress and development of the district. Time bound completion and utmost quality in project implementation was also stressed in the DLMC meeting.
The monthly DLMC meeting was attended by Nodal Officer, DPO Tatak Mibang , PD DRDA, Tajing Padung ADC MeboNancy Yirang, Dy.SP Ayub Boko, HoDs etc.
