Itanagar, Nov 24: A book release ceremony was held during the Arunachal  Rang Mahotsav (Drama Festival) at Itanagar on Saturday where  Deputy  Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Speaker of Arunachal Legislative Assembly, Tesam Pongte jointly released the new novel 'Dholar Sewat Lamsiwa' written by author Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi in Assamese in presence of MLAs Thanwang Wangham, Tsering Lhamu and Namgey Tsering.  Among others who were present were Dr. Bharat Gupt, famous playwright and Vice Chairman of NSD New Delhi, Riken Ngomle, Arunachal Rang Mahotsav Festival Director and Jene Hai, artist of cover page. 
After the release of the book, Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi, the author told the packed audience about the book and how he had come to write such a novel which deals with problem confronting the indigenous people on the face of proselytization and loss of faith  and culture giving rise to conflict that is afflicting tribal society. 
Speaking on the occasion  Chowna Mein appreciated the author for writing a novel in such a delicate subject that will not only throw light on the core issue of proselytization but show a path  to overcome such a problem.  Mukul Pathak, General Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society read out a message from  Bhaskar Dutta Baruah of Lawyer's Book Stall who published the novel.
