Namsai, Aug 31: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has strongly condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his derogatory remarks against the late mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“As BJP members of Namsai District, we strongly condemn Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for the unparliamentary words used during the election rally in Darbhanga, Bihar. Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly resorted to such unparliamentary conduct, which has no place in politics. He must issue a public apology,” said DCM Chowna Mein.
To register their protest, BJP Namsai, led by the BJP Yuva Morcha and BJP Mahila Morcha (Namsai Unit), organized a massive rally against Rahul Gandhi. The DCM stated that the rally serves as a stern reminder to the Congress party not to indulge in such low-level politics.
Earlier, hundreds of BJP workers from Namsai took to the streets carrying placards and banners demanding a public apology from Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against PM Modi’s late mother.
