ITANAGAR, Aug 23: Duty and responsibility of the police is to defend the state and nation, said Home Minister Kumar Waii, while gracing the passing out parade of the 46th Batch Recruit Constables at Police Training Centre Banderdewa on Friday.
Addressing the constables, Waii said, ‘The duty and responsibility of police personnel is to defend and save the state and the nation as well by controlling crimes, stopping anti-social elements and insurgency problems, etc.’
The minister further informed that after entering into the police service there need not be any difference between big and small but all the police officers irrespective of their ranks should have good discipline, character antecedents and good manners and behavior with a sole purpose to deliver justice to the people.
Earlier, DGP Take Ringu, in his keynote address narrated in brief about the training and said the basic purpose of the training is to impart the trainees with basic knowledge of new model, techniques, materials and laws of IPC, CrPC, etc. which are needed in day to day cases in both civil and criminal.
