NAMSAI, Dec 22:  The Anti-Drug Squad of  Namsai  district arrested a drug peddler and recovered suspected heroin weighing 213 grams.
 Acting on specific input from reliable source, police intercepted Rajaseng Manchey, 32, who was on his way to Namsai from Assam side in a car.
 In presence of Executive Magistrate and two independent witnesses, the vehicle was searched and the contraband was found in 16 soap cases.

Accused Rajaseng Manchey has been arrested and the recovered contraband substance seized and a case under NDPS Act has been registered at the Mahadevpur Police Station.
