KHARSANG, Aug 22:  Acting on a tip-off regarding the presence of a drug peddler at Longtom -I (Namphuk  Nallah) under Kharsang circle of Changlang, district police conducted a successful raid that led to the arrest of the culprit and seizure of the contraband items.
On Wednesday last, a police team lead by of Sub Inspector S. Wangsu, ASI.  K. Kumar raided the house of one Nar Bahadur  Tamang of Namphuk  Nallah and recovered 12 pouches of suspected brown sugar weighing approx. 5 grams which were packed in a polythene pouch silver foil used for consuming drugs. During  interrogation Tamang revealed that the said drugs were procured from Bordumsa area for the purpose of personal consumption as well as for sale.
A case vide ksg/ps/c/no.14/19 u/s 21(a) /27 of the NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is on, informed police.
