PASIGHAT, Apr 3: East Siang Police has arrested a drug peddler hailing from Assam as he was on his way to Pasighat to deliver contraband substances.
Based on reliable information that a person from neighbouring Silapathar, Assam was heading towards Pasighat on a motorcycle to deliver contraband substances, a police  team led by Ruksin OC Chacko Joseph (SI), was constituted to apprehend the peddler.
The peddler identified as Rastom Kuttum, 36, was stopped at the Ruksin check-gate and searched by the police team which led to seizure of  12.39 grams of suspected Heroin from his possession. Police has registered case under NDPS Act and further investigation is on.
