PASIGHAT, Jul 4: Under ongoing Operation Dawn 2.0, the East Siang Police successfully apprehended one drug peddler and seized approximately 2.46 gms of suspected heroin and cash amount including a smart phone. Acting on credible intelligence, led to seizure and arrest of  Obang Modi, 60, who has been a regular drug peddler since a long time, from the GTC Area of Pasighat. Police has filed a case under the NDPS Act.
Superintendent of Police, East Siang, Pankaj Lamba, has commended the efforts of the ADS team and reiterated the district police’s firm commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against drug-related offenses. He further urged the public to report any such illicit activities, stressing that community cooperation is vital in ensuring a drug-free East Siang. DIPRO
