Itanagar, Nov 28: A tragic accident occurred early this morning at 6 Kilo, Itanagar, when a truck bearing registration number RJ-14GN4660 lost control due to brake failure, resulting in the death of its driver and owner, Md. Ali Khan (34).
According to a First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Itanagar Police Station at 0930 hours, Md. Sharif Khan (52), a relative of the deceased from  Haryana, reported the accident. The truck, loaded with tiles transported from Rajasthan, was en route when the mishap occurred around 0530 hours. Md. Ali Khan, a resident of Silkho village in Haryana’s Nuh Mewat district, succumbed to his injuries on the spot. His body was shifted to R.K. Mission Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The handyman, Md. Junaid Khan, who was traveling with the deceased, escaped unhurt. Following the incident, the police registered the case under ITA PS UD Case No. 17/24, U/S 194 BNSS, and assigned the investigation to Sub-Inspector T. Paming, stated a release.
